From watching fashion shows on television as a little girl to seeing herself in magazines, on runways, and in international campaigns — SUPERSHARDA’s journey is a story of belief turned into destiny.

For Sharda Moïra Johnn, modeling is more than a profession; it’s an art form — as natural to her as painting is to an artist. It’s a creative outlet that brings joy, freedom, and purpose.

Before pursuing modeling full-time, she became the first in her family to earn both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in China, where she lived and studied for several years. While there, she continued modeling and became the first Surinamese model to walk in Beijing Fashion Week. Her persistence later carried her to the world’s top fashion weeks — London, Milan, and Paris — where she walked for Jacquemus and Rahul Mishra, appeared in leading magazines, and made history as the first model with Afro-textured hair to star in an AVEDA hair campaign in the United States.

Through her company SUPERSHARDA Agency N.V., she bridges fashion, tourism, and leadership. She also founded the Suriname Fashion Council (SFC) to bring structure, visibility, and mentorship to Suriname’s creative community — preparing the next generation of designers, models, and entrepreneurs for the global stage.

Her commitment to youth empowerment continues through The Wildlife Rangers Club of Suriname (THE WRCS), where she helps young people reconnect with nature, build confidence, and grow into responsible leaders.

Beyond fashion and activism, SUPERSHARDA hosts Identity Spectrum with SUPERSHARDA — a podcast exploring culture, self-discovery, and the journey of becoming your truest self. Through honest and empowering conversations, she inspires others to think deeper, live with purpose, and embrace who they are — unapologetically.
